ABOUT US

OUR HISTORY

We owe our origins to a Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) youth initiative, which ran several highly successful pilot sessions during the Spring of 2010.

Following the early success of the pilot schemes we commenced full operations in February 2011, still partly funded at this time by HFRS, and now also funded by a number Councils, via their small local community grant schemes.

We formally registered as a Charity in April 2015 and then in June 2016, we received a Queens Award for Voluntary Service (the MBE for voluntary sector organisations).

Between 2017 and 2023 we received funding from the National Lottery and have worked with a number of organisations, including Herts Sports Partnership.

As a registered charity we are governed by a Board of Trustees, two of whom operate in executive management roles, as our Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer.

We continue to operate across much of Hertfordshire as well as running a single session in the London area at Harrow.
