Bob founded Box Cleva in 2010, is our Chair of trustee's and acts as our Chief Executive in his spare time.

He has been involved in Amateur Boxing since the age of 13, competing in National Championship at every level, turning professional in 1986 before retiring in 1994.

On retirement he became an Inspector for the BBBoC for 10 years before becoming a referee and is now an A Star class International Referee and Judge licensed by the BBBoC, EBU, IBF, WBO, WBA.

When not working to promote Box Cleva, he is also Chairman of the Home Counties Ex Boxers Association.

TONY NEWMAN

Trustee, Secretary & Treasurer

Chief Operating Officer & Finance Director

Tony joined Box Cleva in March 2013 and is an experienced Director, Company Secretary, Staff Accountant and Certified Risk Specialist, with a proven record of proficiency across the Governance, Risk & Compliance, Legal, Finance, Human Resources and General Management functions.

Before joining Box Cleva he had an extensive commercial management background, including setting up and operating a number of successful businesses, as well as also working for some major global business brands.

He is professionally accredited as a Certified Risk Manager, as well as a Fellow of both the Institute of Paralegals and the International Association of Accounting Professionals.

Ian joined Box Cleva in March 2017 and is an experienced IT infrastructure specialist with many years experience with major corporate businesses, ensuring their computer environments are well managed and meet both the business needs and end user needs.

As our Volunteer Chief Technology Officer he fully ensures that all of our IT requirements are met and managed correctly.

JOHN CONTEH MBE

John is our ever present Principle Patron. He won the middleweight gold medal at the 1970 Commonwealth Games, aged just 19 at the time and then went on to win the WBC Light Heavyweight title in October 1974, which he then held until 1977.

John retired from professional boxing in 1980, with a professional record of 34 wins, 1 draw, and 4 losses.
